| Sally's babies
continue to thrive and are now reacting to sounds and responding to my
voice. I have started to wean them and they have already enjoyed
their scrambled eggs and cottage cheese, minced raw steak, soaked puppy
food and goats milk. Mum is gradually spending less time with them
and is more interested in eating their left-overs, but they will
continue to feed from her for the next couple of weeks. As can be
seen from the photos, they are becoming more mobile and beginning to
lift themselves up onto their feet. They are also beginning to
initiate play by pawing and mouthing each other, hence the area of their
whelping box has been extended to allow them more room to move
around while still keeping them safe. |
