| This is
Sally's first litter and although she was a little bewildered for the
first few hours and wasn't quite sure what she was supposed to do with
these tiny bundles of fluff, she soon realised they were her babies and
is now being the perfect mum. They are very contented babies and
at the moment all I have to do is take care of Sally and she takes care
of them. Their birth weights have increased from 6 1/2 oz, 5 1/2
oz and 4 1/2 oz to 14 1/2 oz, 13 1/4 oz and 12 oz, so they have all
doubled their birth weights and are nice, plump little puppies, as can
be seen from the pictures below. There is very little for me to do
at the moment apart from keeping an eye on proceedings and ensuring that
the puppies are gaining weight and are kept warm, comfortable and clean. |
