What a difference there has been in the development of the puppies in the past seven days.  They are now extremely mobile and can move around with surprising speed, even if they do keep staggering and falling over!  The are also quite vocal and I cannot enter the room without them lifting their little heads as they react to the sound of my arrival and greet me with their oh so familiar puppy barks.  Quite a large part of their day is spent in play as they wrestle and tumble with each other.  Last night they sampled their first meal of raw minced steak and ate it with relish and this morning they devoured a plate of scrambled egg with equal enthusiasm, albeit they still have to learn a few table manners ;-) Mum is more than happy to clean up the leftovers and although she is spending a little less time with her babies, she will continue to feed them for another couple of weeks.
