The puppies have spent most of this week outside, getting used to the outdoor sounds and enjoying the warm weather, while having the benefit of a well shaded area to keep them as cool as possible.   They continue to thrive and are beginning to make themselves heard.  As soon as I appear on the scene, they squeal and run towards me, scrambling up my legs and generally making a huge fuss.  They have now reached the age where it is impossible not to respond to their pleas for attention and are a real joy to have around, even if they are hard work.  Last weekend the shaded sable bitch met her new owners,  Anne and Stuart, and in two weeks time she will be leaving us to start a new life with them.  They have called her "Shelley", a name they had chosen before they even realised she was born in the village of Shelley.
